Today’s and tomorrow’s challenges for automotive networking

The number of electronic components in cars has increased rapidly during the last few years. With ever more ECUs comes a growing demand for in-vehicle networking infrastructure fueled by CAN, LIN, MOST, FlexRay and Ethernet.

OEMs are set to use more bandwidth in their cars, as automotive architectures adapt to the demands of more consumer electronics functions, automotive app stores, connected location-based services and the need to integrate new driver-assistance functions.
