Wiring harnesses in the modern motor vehicle face challenges never before dreamt of: Not only do they have to transmit significantly more power, but they have to be lighter and more compact; and in the case of connected cars transmit packages of data leading manufacturers to evaluate new technologies and materials to meet the challenge.

This presentation by Götz Roderer, Director Advanced Engineering at Yazaki Systems Technologies GmbH, provides overview and technical comparision on advanced cable design and latest technology with a special focus on the impact on the EEDS. The presentation was held during the 5th International Conference: Automotive Cabling and Plugs 2015 in Wiesbaden.
