What does the future of mobility design look like? Against the backdrop of emerging autonomous driving, the cockpit increasingly becomes a second living room, and new interior design solutions are in demand.

Crystal Design Luxury: KURZ collaborating with Swarovski

kurz_automotive_iq_online_branding_01_300x250XGIjPOriDhhM4SxcddZyndmrAWfnCt9YFX1QsZW5KURZ presents an innovation – a Human Machine Interface (HMI) cockpit panel enhanced with functional Swarovski crystals. The handmade, precisely cut crystals inspire with depth effects and multiple reflections. But they are not only a visual highlight; they can also be operated via touch thanks to smart sensor technology. The sensors integrated into the panel, consisting of ultra-thin metal-mesh silver structures, are invisible to the human eye. At the same time, they are particularly robust and can be flexibly adapted to a wide variety of component geometries. Last but not least, the sensors do not affect the recyclability of the components.

Stunning Clarity: Automotive interior concepts of tomorrow

Imagine an innovative center console or a dashboard component with a homogeneous surface that is remarkably durable, self-healing, and also scores with its clear 3D structure. Under the slogan ‘Stunning Clarity’, KURZ presents concepts for the car interior of tomorrow – such as the digital design for a center console with Shy Tech expertise and integrated smart functions.

KURZ’s innovative concepts not only take automotive interior design to the next level but are also particularly sustainable. On the one hand, the company uses recyclates and decorates them to the same high quality as virgin material. On the other hand, components decorated using the KURZ technology have high-performance surfaces and are therefore particularly durable.
