Ahead of the 12th Autonomous Vehicles Detroit conference, this September, we spoke to Melinda Kothbauer from May Mobility to get an insight to how they are progressing with the development of their autonomous ride-hail shuttles and how they’re bringing them to market. May Mobility recently received a whopping $111 million series C funding, which is inevitably playing a huge part in the development, something Melinda tells us more on.

Melinda is a Lead Robotics Engineer at May Mobility in Ann Arbor, MI. It’s here where she is developing software for autonomous shuttles to be deployed in cities across the US and in Japan. She received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan. She was named a 2021 Business Insider Rising Star in Autonomous Vehicles.
