Head of Governmental and External Affairs BMW Group Asia

Henrik Wigermo is the Head of Governmental and External Affairs of BMW in Southeast Asia. With fifteen years of automotive industry experience, Henrik has held a range of positions within the BMW Group. The red line of his career has been sustainable mobility. Henrik has been working on CO2 reduction and electrification of vehicles from several perspectives: vehicle development, product management as well as governmental affairs. Before moving to Singapore in September 2018, Henrik lead a BMW strategy initiative on E-Mobility (New Energy Vehicles) in China. By analysing market development and regulatory policies, the project guided BMW’s product and portfolio strategy. Also, the team engaged with policymakers to encourage sustainable NEV policies that speed up the market development. A Swedish citizen, Henrik Wigermo completed his Master of Science degree in Engineering Physics at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. He currently lives with his family in Singapore.
