Sebastien Chabal

Mechatronics Project Manager Hutchinson

Sebastien CHABAL is working for 4 years within the Hutchinson Group.  He holds a Masters degree in Electromechanical Engineering and worked in a start-up (R&D Development) on e-motor control laws design based on inductive encoder sensors. He is project manager on a new Hutchinson angular position sensor and its applications.

Conference Day Two: 12th February 2020

Wednesday, February 12th, 2020

1:50 PM Expert Roundtables

Table A | Integration of Power Electronics and Electric Motors
Dr Simon Hart, CTO (Controllers and Power Electronics), YASA Ltd.

Table B | High performance materials for power dense motors and efficient powertrains
Jaydip Das, Senior Manager, Consumer Application Engineering, Carpenter Technology

Table C | Sustainable drivetrains: being cost effective
Dr. James Widmer, Director APC Electric Machines, School of Engineering, Newcastle University

Table D | Separately Excited motor: Freedom to control the motor over the shunt – what are the opportunities?
Dr. Sid Ali Randi, Specialist Electric Drives – R&D, Electromagnetic Simulation Engineer, Renault Group

Table E | The development of multiphase machine has become more attractive due to the many advantages they provide compared to their three-phase counterparts. However, control circuit design has proven to be a challenge due to the high current harmonics that need to be taken into account and their effects on motor parameters. We will be discussing the use of spatial harmonic models in the development of control circuits.
Ahmed Shoeb, JMAG Support Engineer, Powersys, Germany
Dr. Daniel Keller , Advanced Engineering Department for electrical drives, Daimler AG, Germany

Table F | Dymeo® sensor, a new inductive technology simplifying your E-Motor drive
