Elena Smidt works as a Project Manager for electric motor, inverter and transmission at the R&D Department of Daimler Greater China Ltd. in Beijing. Before joining Daimler, she had worked at thyssenkrupp System Engineering in the area of automation as a Business Development Manager in charge for local Chinese OEMs. Besides her experience in Technical Sales, she used to manage projects in the areas of car component assembly and testing as well as in NEV charging. Elena holds degrees in Business Administration from Tsinghua University and Mannheim University, as well as a degree in Engineering from Wilhelm Büchner Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. She speaks German, English, Chinese and Russian fluently. Elena is passionate about the Chinese language and culture and has gained profound experience in managing Sino-German projects in the automotive area.
