Principal Power Electronics & Control Engineer Protean Electric
Chao Ji (S’10-M’16) was born in Hebei, P.R.
China. He received the B.Eng. degree in electrical and electronic engineering
from North China Electric Power University, Baoding, China, in 2007 and the
M.Sc. degree (with distinction) in power electronics and drives and the Ph.D.
degree in electrical and electronic engineering from The University of
Nottingham, Nottingham, U.K., in 2008 and 2012, respectively.
From 2013 to Sep 2016, he was a Research Fellow with the
Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) group, The University of
Nottingham. Since Oct 2016, he has been with the Advanced Motor Research group,
Protean Electric, U.K., where he is currently a Power Electronics Research
Engineer. His research interests include WBG inverter systems, high voltage resonant
power supplies for RF applications, and advanced control of power converters.
