Light Feature System Engineer Ford Motor Company

Jannis started a dual study program at the Ford-Werke GmbH in Cologne in 2017. During this program he did an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic and a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering. He finished the program with a bachelor thesis about the objective evaluation of headlamp light distribution, using image processing techniques in 2022. After that, he worked part-time as a lighting feature system engineer, while doing his master’s degree in mechatronics. In his job as a lighting feature system engineer, he focuses on model-based software development and model-in-the-loop validation of state-of-the-art lighting features.
