Dr. Derong Yang, currently works as a senior function
developer and researcher at Vehicle Energy and Motion Control department, Volvo
Car Group. Dr. Yang received her PhD degree in vehicle dynamics and control
from Chalmers University of Technology in 2013. Since then, she has been
actively involved in the function and SW development of vehicle motion control
functions for passenger cars with different actuators, driveline configurations
and autonomy levels, at both normal driving and crash-imminent scenarios. The
function design methods include both robust rule-based, as well as model-based
optimal control, e.g. control allocation.
