Conference Day 1

Wednesday, June 12th, 2019

14:30 Challenges and Practical Solutions for the Implementation of Functional Safety on Trucks and Bus Architectures

  • How does the distributed development business model for trucks and buses affect the implementation of functional safety?
  • What are some strategies for achieving necessary levels of safety integrity when ASIL decomposition cannot be applied to legacy components?
  • What is needed to achieve full implementation?
  • How are major component suppliers affected?

Conference Day 2

Thursday, June 13th, 2019

11:40 Panel Discussion | Balancing ISO 26262, SOTIF and Cyber Security

With the focus on an industry-wide standardization of automated driving, consideration of these three standards is critical but where might the trade-offs lie and what are the possible architectural compromises of balancing all three?

15:10 Panel Discussion | The Cost of Safety in ADAS (L2-L3)

ADAS is at the front burner of many OEM’s development as technologies and vehicles become more and more advanced. However, many of the components enabling these technological developments are currently not able to meet the necessary safety requirements. Join this session to discuss:
  • ASIL decomposition
  • Safety cases and development
  • Meeting future needs: improving reliability
• Are vehicles currently safe enough?

16:20 Town Hall Session (joint with ISO 26262 for Semiconductors conference attendees) with working group members of the international ISO 26262 working group (ISO/TC 022/SC 32/WG 08 ″Functional safety″)

Meet ISO 26262 working group Committee Members and get the opportunity to clarify doubts in this open session. Participants will be asked to choose two from the six tables available, each one moderated by an expert who specializes in a specific section of
ISO 26262. There are 25 minutes dedicated to each table which participants choose.
    4:30 – 5:00 pm | First Session
    5:00 – 5:10 pm | Time for Switching
    5:10 – 5:40 pm | Second Session
5:40 – 5:50 pm | Summary of main discussion points by discussion leaders
