Wentao Zhang

Research Assistant / PhD University of Nottingham

Wentao Zhang received the B.Eng., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the School of Electrical Engineering, Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in July 2018, July 2021, and September 2025, respectively. He is now working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) Research Group at the University of Nottingham. His major research interests include the design, analysis, and control of the wound field switched flux machines, flat-wire permanent magnet machines, as well as AI for Science approaches in electrical machine design and optimization.
