Vehicle Thermal Lead, Electric Vehicles General Motors

Sowmya Jayaraman is a Thermal Lead for Next Generation Electric Vehicles at General Motors, with extensive experience in thermal integration, virtual engineering, and vehicle program management. A technical specialist in the thermal domain for more than a decade, she brings deep expertise in advancing thermal solutions for electrified vehicles. Sowmya currently serves as Chair of the SAE Battery Committee and Associate Editor of the SAE International Journal of Electrified Vehicles. She has also served for more than a decade on the SAE Thermal Management Committee, including as Chair and organizer of the annual Thermal Management Systems Symposium (TMSS). Sowmya is a recipient of GM's Boss Kettering Award.
