Wilhelm Hackmann

Dr. Wilhelm Hackmann studied electrical engineering at the TU Dortmund/Germany (focus: electrical machines). He worked as a development engineer in the railway traction drive development of AEG, Adtranz, Bombardier in Berlin and Wiener Neudorf from 192 up to 2004. In 2003 he finished his PhD Thesis at the TU Darmstadt (wheel hub traction drives in street cars: induction machines, permanent magnet machines, transverse flux machines. Since 2005 he is head of motor design/ simulation department of the e-traction drive development and principal expert “Electrical Machines” of the company Continental in Berlin.
