I recently caught up with Michele Mueller from the Michigan Department of Transport to discuss what governing bodies are doing to protect EV charging interfaces from attacks. With added risks, such as bi-directional charging, the need for standards and infrastructures to prevent such attacks increases. With EVs offering bi-directional charging, this connection to the grid is opening doors to potential risks, emphasizing the need for standards and infrastructures to be put in place, to prevent such attacks.
