Sheila Marquises has over 15 years of experience in local government and has a dual registration as both a civil and traffic engineer. Sheila has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from UCLA and a Master of Public Administration degree from Arkansas State University. Currently, she is the Senior Transportation Engineer at the City of Fremont Public Works Department. She has been recognized for her collaborative spirit and ability to lead as she has serves as the program manager for several programs such as Smart Mobility Plan, Traffic Incident Management, and Signal Modernization. She has also been involved with high priority community initiatives such as Fremont Vision Zero 2020, Mobility Task Force and Commission, and development of the Mobility Action Plan. In addition, she’s responsible for the maintenance and operations of the traffic signal, street light, signal communications, and electric vehicle charger infrastructure.
