Mike Harrigan

Senior Program Manager for Advanced Mobility Prospect Silicon Valley

With over a decade of experience in the alternative fuel vehicle industry, Mike Harrigan is a Senior Program Manager with responsibility for sustainable transportation initiatives at Prospect Silicon Valley. He is responsible for working with various stakeholders to advance the adoption of alternative fuel vehicles in the Bay Area as well as alternative fueling infrastructure. Current and past projects include California Energy Commission funded projects to further the adoption of electric vehicles as well as mentoring several startup companies that are involved in electric vehicles and/or electric vehicle charging infrastructure.


Previously Mike was the eFleet Program Manager for City CarShare where he was responsible for all aspects of the 60+ EV eFleet program including grant management, vehicle selection, charging station selection, site selection, member outreach, community outreach, and program evaluation. The City CarShare electric bike program was also part of his responsibility.


As VP of NRG Energy in Houston, Mike was the General Manager of EV Services, a subsidiary that is developing EV charging services for EV owners now known as eVgo.         


Mike also served as VP of Business Development for two EV related companies: Coulomb Technologies (now known as ChargePoint) and Atieva (Li-ion battery systems and now developing a luxury electric vehicle).


Mike got his start in the EV industry at Tesla Motors in 2005 where he was VP of Customer Service & Support and also served as VP of Marketing responsible for the launch of the Tesla Roadster as well as the corporate launch.


Previous to the EV industry Mr. Harrigan has extensive experience in high technology startup companies having co-founded two successful companies: Network Computing Devices and ShoreTel.


Mike has a BS degree in Aeronautical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo and a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University.
