Dmitry Turbiner started General Radar in his dorm room at Stanford in 2016. As founder, Dmitry developed the original concept, secured seed funding from Kleiner Perkins, and assembled a team of over ten engineers and executives. Together, the team has developed two generations of radar and one lidar systems.
Prior to Genrad, Dmitry was a Microwave Engineer at NASA/JPL where he served as the Chief Engineer for the COSMIC-2/FORMOSAT-7 Mission’s Radio Ocultation Antenna Array. Dmitry dropped out from the EE PhD program at Stanford and graduated from MIT with a BS in Electrical Engineering.
Dmitry holds two issued patents in the field of Antenna design and two patents pending in Radar design.
