Main Conference Day Two | 7th March, 2024

11:40 AM WASTE HEAT RECOVERY FROM FAST CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE AS WELL AS EV/HEV PRESENTATION

Over the last years, the charging infrastructure especially the fast-charging infrastructure is growing. This will continue for the next years as well. Many experts work on increasing the efficiency of the power electronics used in charging stations and electric vehicles. But there will be a loss during charging in both the charger and the battery. The presentation will focus on that and give an example how much thermal energy is created during a fast-charging stop at a motorway and give suggestions, how to use these waste heat.

Introduction: What is the current situation of charging points in Germany?

Charging Management: How do current EV fast charge in terms of power and duration and how much thermal losses are created?

Waste Heat Recovery and Utilization: Examples of how to recover thermal losses. Requirements of additional connections between car and charging station and possible use cases for the recovered heat

4:40 PM EXPERT VIEWS ON HOW E-MOTORS & THERMAL MANAGEMENT WILL CHANGE IN THE FUTURE PART TWO

After three days of learning, networking, and business development, it’s time to wrap up the 2024 conference. But

before we do that, let’s look at the future. With several technologies on the market and many optimisation strategies

currently working, even more are under research to push the boundaries of e-motor development and achieve better

efficiency, lower cost and improve performance.

Join experts for this grand finale discussion led by a panel of experts and visionaries from OEM, Tier-1 and Tier-2

companies as they forecast the future of e-motor technologies, which technologies they expect to see in the future

and how systems will be modified to make them more efficient.

Workshop Half Day: Friday, 8th March 2024

10:40 AM LEARN TO CONFIGURE THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS TO HELP REDUCE LOSSES IN THE MOTOR AND THE INVERTER

There is an increased awareness of the importance of the cooling of the motor and the impact of the cooling system on

the efficiency of the motor. The industry is now assessing the different types of cooling systems and how much they can

aid in reaching efficiency goals.

Join the collaborative panel with e-motor and thermal experts as they discuss the ways to integrate and configure

thermal systems with the e-motor and inverter for greater efficiency:

Learn the effective ways to configure thermal systems for reducing losses in the motor and the inverter

Discuss how to integrate thermal management systems with motors and inverters for greater efficiency
