Dr Helen Monkhouse is Chief Engineer – Functional Safety at HORIBA MIRA, an automotive engineering consultancy in the UK. Her areas of interest include human machine interaction, systems engineering, machine learning and perception systems. Helen has published automotive functional safety related papers and promotes industry best practice through her work with MISRA and ISO. Helen is a MISRA Safety Case Guidelines author and UK Expert to the AUE/32/1 Safety and Security of Electrical and Electronic Components in Road Vehicles committee.
