Cyber Security Europe 2022 Post Show Round-Up

With the rise in electric, semi-autonomous and software-defined vehicles, automotive cyber-attacks increased by 225% between 2018 and 2021, which if not resolved could cost the industry over $505m by 2024 with potentially irreparable damage. Regulations, such as UN R155 and R156 have come into play, as well as the ISO/ SAE 21434 standard, which are now compulsory for the industry to comply with.

With all of these factors combined, cyber security has evolved from being a relatively important topic to a critical one for the automotive industry. With this demand, Automotive IQ was proud to host Cyber Security Munich 2022, a three day conference that took place at the Hilton Munich City Hotel, Germany, which was co-located with Connected Vehicles Europe.

The conference focused on real use cases, hearing from OEMs, Tier-1s and Tier-2s on the practical strategies, new ideas and technologies with advanced capabilities.
