STEERING PLENARY

12:00 PM FUNCTIONAL SAFETY IN INTEGRATED CHASSIS CONTROLS

PANEL DISCUSSION

  • Hear how functional safety requirements are driving the design of multi actuator integrated systems
  • Learn how integration can ensure functional safety in a way that redundancy typically does
  • Find out how overall integrated control of the vehicle can provide the ability to manage safety at a system level

Question & Answer Session

2:30 PM ASSESS HOW OTHER INDUSTRIES, INCLUDING AGRICULTURE & MOTORSPORT, ARE SOLVING INTEGRATED CHASSIS CONTROL CHALLENGES

cuss how to

break down walls that inhibit collaboration and innovation.

SUSPENSION PLENARY

3:00 PM DRIVING THE NEED TO STANDARDIZE INTERFACES & CENTRALIZED CONTROLS

STANDARDIZATION DISCUSSION WITH EXPERTS FROM ALL CHASSIS

DOMAINS, INCLUDING STEERING, BRAKING & SUSPENSION

  • Discuss how and why new technology is driving the need for standardization
  • Find out about the standardization of electronic communications between

different parts/centralized controls

  • Join experts as they outline a common methodology on information that

needs to be being communicated, including what the braking actuator at the

corner is responsible for vs. what centralized controls are responsible for

Question & Answer Session

BRAKING PLENARY

2:30 PM ASSESS HOW OTHER INDUSTRIES, INCLUDING AGRICULTURE & MOTORSPORT ARE SOLVING INTEGRATED CHASSIS CONTROL CHALLENGES

PANEL DISCUSSION

Join this panel discussion where experts will explore how looking to peripheral

industries, like aerospace and motorsport, can inspire innovative solutions to

common integrated chassis control challenges, such as SbW, functional safety,

and distributed control. The conversations will focus on the role of transparency,

information sharing, and overcoming the barriers created by intellectual property

in driving progress. A great opportunity to share insights and discuss how to

break down walls that inhibit collaboration and innovation

11:35 AM EXAMINE OEM DEPLOYMENT PLANS FOR NOVEL BRAKE-BY-WIRE TECHNOLOGY

PANEL DISCUSSION

  • Discuss OEM decision processes for brake-by-wire:

How are decisions being made and what criteria are

companies using

  • Establish cost targets and enablers that drive OEM

decisions

  • Learn details on how OEMs are deploying technology

into the market across their vehicle lines and where

they are seeing success

Question & Answer Session

12:40 PM ADDRESSING THE SAFETY FACTOR OF BRAKE- BY-WIRE TECHNOLOGY > PUTTING TRUST IN NEW TECHNOLOGY

PRESENTATION/PANEL DISCUSSION

  • Understand what is making it hard for people to put

trust in new technology when going from a completely

different platform to a new one

  • Sharing recommendations and measures to gain the

trust of people and organizations in AI

  • Understand what the system would do if there’s a fault

in an electronic system and how many backup systems

are needed if there’s a glitch
