This document consolidates and clarifies much of the guidance that was previously spread across the MISRA C and C++ coding guideline documents to ensure a clearer understanding of what MISRA compliance means at the outset of a project.

Jill Britton has over 40 years of embedded software experience across a variety of industries. She has worked as a software engineer and manager for telecommunications, automotive, defense, and education software.

Jill is now the Director of Compliance at Perforce and is a committee member of MISRA. Jill holds a BSc in Computer Science and Statistics from Newcastle University, and a MSc in Computer Science from Brunel University London.

Richard Corden

Richard Corden is Architect for Helix QAC at Perforce. Richard has been developing static analyzers for C and C++ for 20 years. Over this time, he’s been involved in developing of coding standards and he’s a co-author of MISRA C++ 2008 and High Integrity C++ from Perforce (formerly PRQA). Richard is also a member of the MISRA C++ and ISO C++ Committees.
